Jesus spoke of the man who built his house on solid foundation vs. the man that built his house on sand. One was built on rock solid foundation, while the other was not. Jesus went on to say that the house built on the solid foundation could withstand difficult times, that the winds could blow and the house would remain, but that the house built on sand would not stand and great would be the fall of it. Just imagine the endless situations and circumstances that this application could apply to.

Sometimes it's possible to start out on solid foundation and slowly be moved to unstable foundation. One way for this to happen is through compromise. We all occasionally compromise, however if we continue to walk in compromise it can cause a shift and that shift can lead to unstable grounds.

When this happens, we must examine situations, ourselves, and the path that we have taken. For it's easy to get off course in today's world.

I just read a article online from a high end California news paper that shared that a man is collecting signatures to have divorce banned in California. The article shares that it will require 694,354 signatures of registered voters to be collected by March 22nd of 2010 to get the measure of the ballad next year. Imagine that.

It's called the ELIMINATES THE LAW ALLOWING MARRIED COUPLES TO DIVORCE. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.

Over the years, I have read many different publications and gained valuable information and insight through them. One publication that comes to mind is Christianity Today which is very informative. Another that comes to mind is Charisma Mag which also in very informative.

Many people believe in reincarnation. Personally, I do not and I do not find any scriptural evidence to support it. However this article is about reincarnation from both a secular perspective and a biblical perspective. So what does the bible say about reincarnation. I'm sure that many people have different biblical views about what the bible says about reincarnation. From a secular belief here is what one author says about reincarnation which also speaks about karma.

My advise to those curious about reincarnation is to take the time to study reincarnation and then apply sound scriptural teachings. Otherwise you may find yourself falling prey to the faith and beliefs of some who's entire belief system is of error. For the scriptures are truth and God's word is a very sure foundation.

I must admit that I'm at a loss. We have NASA which accomplishes great things. We have technology that is flat out amazing. Our military is the most powerful well equipped military in the world. The world looks to America for many things and to help solve many problems. Yet, we can't safeguard our citizens and our children from drugs, gangs and the violence, death and destruction they cause.

In the blink of an eye, we can ship men off to war, prepare entire battle plans and engage an enemy with strategic force, yet we can't end illegal drugs. We are able to put satellites into orbit, but we can't end illegal drugs.

I just wonder why? Why can America accomplish such great things, however America can't stop the flow of illegal drugs into our country? I'm praying for a drug free America and for our children's future, free from drugs, gangs, violence, and the death and destruction they cause.

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. What a wonderful country we live in. The body of Christ in America is found everywhere, in just about ever city and throughout the states. So for all our readers that live in San Antonio Texas, here's a great church for you to attend. Cornerstone Church pastored by John Hagee of John Hagee Ministries. I have watched this on fire man of God preach the word of God many times on TBN. What a blessing.

It's been a few years since I have visited the State Of Texas, however if I again get the chance I'm going to visit Cornerstone Church.

I love the peace of God and have learned over the years how to remain at peace. However, there were times that this peace escaped me and was no where to be found. Maybe you to have experienced this.

You see we must seek peace, find it and hold onto it. For example today in our household, the morning started out very peaceful. In fact, extremely peaceful. Then one of the family members decided that they were just a tad bored. Next thing you knew, it was time to clean, start new projects, load this, load that, go here and go there. Within 20 minutes peace was quickly replaced by frustrations, messes and things that were not even a part of the day and especially a Saturday.

Peace is found deep within, and comes with being still. Getting busy and doing things out of boredom is not a doorway to peace. Sometimes, you just have to sit back, relax and just enjoy the day for what it is. Wonderfully, beautiful!

I am reminded of the two paths, one being straight and narrow and the other being wide and broad, that many go within. Many take the wide and broad path that leads to destruction, yet few take the straight and narrow. Interesting concept, two paths with one leading to eternal life.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Seek Him and find, knock and the door will be opened, for all who truly call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Both of my grandmothers have passed on. But oh how I remember those great meals that they could cook. There was just something about that generation and cooking. It's like it meant something to cook great dinners. Everything was fresh, home made and simply delicious. My mother, God rest her soul and sister also cooked great meals. It seems that the recipes were passed down. One of my grandmothers spent most her life in Ohio and the other in Kansas. That might have something to do with it. Both my grandfathers were farmers. That also might have something to do with it.

However, today it's restaurants, fast food, frozen and what's available at the grocery store. Nothing could possibly compare with those farm style Midwest home cooked meals coupled with all the home made pies with the fruit picked right of the trees in the back yard.

Well, it's time to go eat. We are having barbecued chicken tonight, mashed potatoes, gravy and a nice veggie.

Ouch! I've been fighting some major tooth pain. I went through the antibiotics and pain pills which did help, however it's looking like it's time for some dental work which I'm not looking forward to. Let's see, $90.00 for the office visit and a estimate of repairs (kinda feel like a car) and then around $175.00 to pull the tooth. So we are looking at a few hundred bucks at the very least. Ouch! and ouch! I don't know which hurts more the pain or the cost of the dental work. Hey, maybe there's a stimulus package that will cover this. We had the cash for clunkers, how about cash for dental work. OK, I'm trippen :)

Have you ever noticed how many times we seem to get into high gear before we shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and to 4th. This happens in churches, in ministries and in our personal lives. Personally I have found God, my walk with God and the Christian life to be season after season of change and that God is in no hurry. Considering that Christ died upon the cross over 2,000 years ago and countless generations and seasons have unfolded, that in it's self proves that God is a patient God. After all, God could have judged the world 1,000 years ago and called His Bride home, yet here we are, still awaiting the second coming of Christ.

Many times, we just flat out get in a hurry. We get so far ahead of God, His plans and His purposes that we are creating our own agenda's while thinking and believing we are in God's Perfect Will. I've oftened wondered this in regards to the size of our online ministry which has grown to over 150 separate ministry blogs, not counting all the other blogging communities that we are involved within. Yet and again, I feel this overwhelming call to share the love of Christ and His Redeeming Passion with the world. If you have a passion to share Christ with the world, contact us. We have a wonderful children's ministry at our church and a very loving pastor that pastor's over the children. She's truly a very loving and special woman who loves God and his little lambs. It's such a blessing to see all the joy on the children's faces each weekend as they attend the children's classes. You see, this one woman's love, dedication, sacrifice and simply who she is in Christ touches and makes a huge difference in the lives of so many. It's breathtaking and priceless to see.

Just imagine if we all possessed such character and qualities. Our world would be a better place.

We occasionally encounter those days that affect us. They affect our happiness, our personalities, our character and some times others around us. Depression is occasionally a part of life, unfortunately. However when misery and unhappiness becomes a daily routine, somethings wrong, drastically wrong. Many times within this we easily blame others for our unhappiness or we adapt that if only I could, or if only life was attitude.

The truth is that there is something wrong and that something is found deep inside of us. Yes, we can blame others and take on that pity party attitude. We can apply that but if only mindset, however the truth is that we need to look within us, deep within us, because somethings missing. You see, we were not created to live a life of sadness, misery and unhappiness. Life is not suppose to be ruled by these emotions and problems.

I love to rest in God. Life comes with many different challenges and sometimes those challenges can overwhelm us. Over the years I've learned a very important fruit of the Spirit. Patience! Within such, I've learned to rest in God, to not respond so quickly or become easily offended by situations. I simply take a deep breath and start praying when situations arise. When we rest in God, we find God's peace, wisdom and counsel flowing and that simply calms the storms. It helps us to put things into perspective.

Let me encourage you to rest in God when things seem to overwhelm you. Remember, yesterday is gone, today is here, and tomorrow will take care of it's self. Allow Jesus to calm the storms, and allow the Holy Spirit to minister peace to you.

Have you ever asked yourself what is the business of the Kingdom. Jesus said that He was about His Father's business. Jesus also called the money changers and those selling merchandise out side of the Temple, some pretty harsh things.

When you read the Bible and the accounts of Jesus and the Apostles, what do you find? Do you find a huge marketing concept? Do you find a huge merchandising concept? Did Jesus and the Apostles set up store fronts, open business and market God's Word, Salvation, Redemption and charge admission on the Day Of Pentecost.

Yet today, church's are big business. I've been pondering that a lot lately, wondering if such things are being about the Father's business.

Team work has it's benefits. Picture a football team that didn't function as a team or a baseball team that didn't work together. Sometimes it's hard to be a part of a team, and other times things just flow quite nicely. I think that some times it's not so much the team work that makes great things happen, but the fact that the team is all working together to achieve on goal. In sports that could be to win.

The body of Christ is made up of many members, yet it is one body. Every member is important regardless of what position they hold. Imagine a body with no eye's, or with no feet, or with no hands. That would be a body missing important parts. It is the same sometimes within the body of Christ at a local congregation. Important parts are missing or have yet to be connected to the body.

I love the word of God, the teachings of Jesus and yes, the teachings of the Apostles. Jesus made things simple and the Apostles whom were led of the Spirit and anointed in power went forth preaching the Word with signs and wonders following as the Lord was working with them. Preaching was simple. It was about Christ and the rule of the Kingdom. Prayer was simple and through such lives were changes and transformed. The Apostles walked the walk and were about the business of the Kingdom as Jesus was about His Father's business. Neither Jesus or the Apostles walked around with Bibles.

The Apostles and the church were empowered by the Holy Ghost and the church was being born as it unfolded. You see something wonderful happened on the Day Of Pentecost. The church was born, the Apostles were empowered and Kingdom Authority was the rule. Heaven came to earth like a Mighty Rushing Wind.

It's time for the church to submit to the word of God, the doctrine of the Apostles, cast out the religious spirit and the precepts of men. It's time for the church to stand upon the very ROCK whom is the Lord, the Holy and Anointed One. It's time for the church to rise up in love, in power and in authority.

Just imagine if your house was not built on concrete, but rather sand. Things could become very unstable at any given time. A earthquake could occur, or a winter storm. There could be a flood, or even a mudslide. The results could be very bad. Just imagine all the potential possibilities for disaster if your house was built on sand. Now imagine your life being built on sand.

Here are the words of Jesus on the matter. Life changing words that are over 2,000 years old, yet eternal.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. They key is reading, knowing, understanding and holding onto the sayings of Jesus.

Is there someone that you've lost contact with? Maybe a old high school friend, maybe a old co worker, maybe a relative or close close family member? We all get busy and the freeway of life just seems to consume our time. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, best friends and people that we've spent time with just seem to fall onto the back burners of our life. Many times we are reminded of those people in thought. We make plans to contact them, but life's freeway once again consumes us. Maybe the Holy Spirit is putting someone on your heart right now. Take time and make that call. You just might put a smile on some one's face.

Remember, we all can make a difference. In our homes, in our communities, with our families, on the job and at every corner. Each one of us has something to add to our world to make it a better place. Take time and make time to make a difference, a positive difference in the lives of others. It's easy to get off course. Sometimes we don't even realize that we've gotten off course and by the time we wake up and see that fact, it's almost too late to undue all the wrongs. It's as if the path just got wider and wider and we didn't see it happening. The other reality is that sometimes people just don't want to see the course that is unfolding, as if it doesn't exist. Then in the end, they make excuses for the losses and by that time the losses are great. Sometimes even the fall is great.

Jesus spoke of the straight and narrow saying few be there that find it. On the flip side Jesus spoke to the wide and broad saying that many go therein. Regardless of where you are on that path, stay focused on Christ and the sayings of Jesus.

The wave of 2009! Revival is coming, coming, coming....

It's exploding here, there, over there, next week, well you don't want to miss out, it's happening, outpourings, fire, waves, shaking, healing's, miracles, stones falling from heaven, oh wait, but over at that church, this church, next week, next conference and on and on it goes.

The music is simply awing. The sounds overwhelming. The instruments simply of the finest. It's a concert. The Concert of all concerts.

It is the love of Christ being shed forth into your heart as the Holy Spirit fills you with the very love of God.

Do you ever feel that way. Like a 8 ball constantly being shot into the corner pocket? As if every time you get out and on the table, someone comes along and shoots you down?

Take cheer. Life does come with those that would constantly push you into corners, however with Christ's help you will defeat your enemies, overcome and find Victory.

I'm sure that many of you are aware of the hardships around the world and the affects on families and especially children. As a father with a wife and daughter I too worry about what the future holds at times with all the economic problems that have and continue to come forth. Yet here in the United States, well there is no comparison to what is happening in other countries. We have abundance even in hard times, while others lack everyday regardless off world situations.

Personally, I find the following ministry to be a ministry of integrity that truly seeks to be a blessing to so many countless millions. Check Feed The Children out and simply allow God to speak to your heart.

2008 is simply past history and 2009 is upon us. Our world is struggling in so many areas, in so many situations and the circumstances, well, they just seem to be intensifying.

Much like watching a hurricane building and creating strong winds. However, there is a eye in the midst of such storms where the air currents are calm.

May the Prince of Peace be the eye of the storms that arise in your life. May Christ be the Rock that you stand upon and may the Spirit be the wind in your sails.
